JCS INDEPENDENT SCHOOL Grade 7-9 Field Trip!! Learners had a blast at Abrahamsrust

Today JCS held their Easter Celebration. Learners learnt about the true meaning of Easter and had communion with their peers. Learners also had hot chocolate and hot cross buns and participated in Easter hunts together as teams. Learners really enjoyed today!

Our head leaders deposited the money raised for CANSA on Friday the 27th of February. We want to thank everyone who helped in raising funds for CANSA and participated in our Flip Flop Day. Keep putting your best foot forward!

Our learners had such a fun Ice Cream Day!

Our Grade 7–9 learners are heading to Abrahamsrust on 20 March for a well-deserved day of relaxation and fun in the sun!

The day will include swimming, a braai, and quality time together as we celebrate the close of a busy and successful first term.

It’s the perfect opportunity to unwind and connect before the next term begins.

Emerald Trip Loading…

Our Grade 4–6 learners are heading to Emerald Resort & Casino on 13th of March, and the excitement is building fast!

The day will include time at the Aquadome as well as an exciting game drive experience, the perfect combination of exploration, and adventure.

We’re looking forward to a memorable day filled with learning beyond the classroom, and moments they will never forget.

The countdown has officially begun!

Plakkiedag – Sit Ons Beste Voet Voor

As deel van ons 2026-tema, “Sit Jou Beste Voet Voor,” sal ons ’n Plakkiedag-inisiatief aanbied.

Leerders mag op 20 Februarie 2026 plakkies skool toe dra teen ’n skenking van R20. Alle fondse wat ingesamel word, sal aan CANSA geskenk word ter ondersteuning van kankerpasiënte, bewusmakingsprogramme en voortgesette navorsing.

Ons moedig al ons leerders aan om deel te neem terwyl ons teruggee aan ons gemeenskap en saamstaan met dié wat deur kanker geraak word.

Saam kan selfs die kleinste tree ’n betekenisvolle verskil maak.

Flip Flop Day - Putting Our Best Foot Forward

As part of our 2026 theme, “Put Your Best Foot Forward,” we will be hosting a Flip Flop Day initiative.

Learners can wear flip flops to school for a R20 donation on the 20th of February 2026. Funds raised will be donated to CANSA in support of cancer patients, awareness programmes, and ongoing research.

We encourage all our learners to participate as we give back to our community and stand alongside those affected by cancer.

Together, even the smallest step can make a meaningful difference.
